Caregiver Circle: Aging in a Different Place

  • Start: November 27, 2018 6:00 pm
  • End: November 27, 2018 7:00 pm

Aging in place is the ideal for most of us – to live out our days in the comfort of home. Yet the numbers tell us that only 20% of Americans end up doing so. “Aging in a Different Place” tackles the tough questions about the transition faced by many older adults and their families.

The decision to help an aging adult move out of their home is a complex one – both emotionally and practically. It’s often complicated further when made in a moment of crisis such as a hospitalization or passing of a spouse/caregiver. So how does one know when to begin considering a change? What are the signs? How does one start the conversation? A roadmap for navigating living options for older adults will be explored.

This session of Caregiver Circle will be presented by Susan and Paul Doyle of Oasis Senior Advisors.

Caregiver Circle sessions take place at Greenwich Library from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. It is free of charge and open to the public. Contact reception@theriverhouse.org to register.
